Abstract
⺠Turbulence downstream of aortic valves was investigated in bioprostheses and in native porcine valves. ⺠Turbulence increases with increasing blood pressure and cardiac output. ⺠Native aortic valves are superior to bioprostheses regarding turbulence. ⺠Stentless bioprostheses does not exert less turbulence than stented bioprostheses.
