Abstract
⺠Optimal loading mode was determined for simulating axial rotation of the lumbar spine. ⺠A compressive follower load of 720 N and a pure moment of 5.5 Nm should be applied. ⺠Applying these loads leads to the best agreement with in vivo measured values.
