Abstract
⺠We showed that wave interactions in the aorta can create abnormal wave conditions. ⺠Under abnormal conditions, higher pulsatile ELVP does not follow from higher PP. ⺠Normal conditions show a similar shape in the reflected wave intensity (RWI) graph. ⺠Normal RWI patterns have three distinct peaks of decreasing amplitude over cycle. ⺠In abnormal cases, the 2nd and 3rd peaks of RWI are replaced with a single peak.
