Abstract
The author tries to redraw and clarify the existing links between psychotherapy and what Freud and his followers had called didactic analysis or type-course. After having idealized this practice, particularly in Lacanian circles, current psychoanalysts seem to redeem the practice of psychotherapy. The paper ends with a clinical narrative which shows the value of this approach with a patient, anciently « scarified by the sofa type-course ».
