Abstract
The neuropsychological exam is particularly important in neurology. The objective of this exam is to bring to the fore cognitive and behavioural impairment allowing to define a specific neuropsychological pattern necessary to evoke a diagnosis. As part of neurodegenerative dementia, the neuropsychological exam has many functions during the different steps of following patients. This exam should be centred on the patient and on the benefits waited for in order to consider him as an active partner of the long following of the disease in terms of cognitive stimulation, psychotherapy or medical treatment.
