Abstract
The resistance to psychoanalysis in the arab and islamic world is due to the closure linked to religion, the dogmatic fixity of the religious Law and the impossibility to interpretate and improve the basis of faith. This situation refrains the possibility to the human subject to go through the construction of his autonomy. To be added to these fundamental data, we have to mention the status of wemen and the androcentreic sexuality, the lack of guilt and fault feelings, the fascination of islamic peoples by autocratical and dictatorial regimes due to the theocratical conception of the social life. Democracy does not really exists in the arab world, the reason why psychoanalysis cannot be instituded and practiced easily.
