Abstract
An equality's concern, particularly between men and woman, ended in France in a new legislation of name transmission modes. The patronymic name system leaves place to a new one, which gives the parents the choice of the surname passed on the child among the father's and mother's names. This principle of name choice questions the clinic in this way that it introduces a new order of its transmission which is not without affecting its psychical and notably unconscious appropriation.
