Abstract
The study aims at isolating and analyzing the conscious and unconscious processes, which promote the incorporation of women in a male profession such as the Paris Fire Brigade (BSPP) 37 subjects have been divided into three groups: 14 female firemen, 14 male firemen and 9 brigade captains, were interviewed. Data were collected through directive interviews. The set of questions had already been prepared according to the various groups. Then a thematic and psychological analysis were carried out. It comes out from this study that the incorporation of women in a male profession, appeals to the representations and internal definitions of the male and the female.
