Abstract
⺠Highly socially anxious women had more personal and role functioning consequences. ⺠Men endorsed more physical consequences than women. ⺠Enhancement motives predicted adverse role functioning and physical consequences. ⺠Coping motives predicted both social and personal consequences. ⺠There was a modest trend for social motives to predict social consequences.
