Abstract
⺠We measured high and low perfectionists' interpretations of ambiguous information. ⺠Perfectionists showed interpretation biases specific to perfection relevant material. ⺠Experimental manipulation of these biases produced changes in perfectionist behaviours. ⺠The data suggest one mechanism of therapeutic change in disorders related to perfectionism.
