Abstract
Thanks to his open-mindness and his multiple explorations, G. Lantéri-Laura produced work which appears as a major contribution for constituting the contemporary psychiatry's paradigm. Altough deeply sceptical about his own research, he found some important features of this new paradigm: the recognition of uncertainty, the fragmentary knowledge's acceptance, the identification of the regional epistemologies none of which can claim hegemony, the multiple relationships between local and global, acute and chronic processes, and humour.
