Abstract
â¶ Negative beliefs about worry prospectively predict the residual change in anxiety. â¶ Negative beliefs about worry prospectively predict the residual change in depression. â¶ Cognitive confidence interacts with daily hassles to predict the residual change in anxiety. â¶ The results support a possible causal role of metacognition.
