Abstract
⺠We investigated whether perceptual processing and priming predict intrusive memories. ⺠Neutral objects were more readily identified if previously seen in a traumatic rather than neutral context. ⺠Enhanced perceptual priming predicted intrusive memories 2 weeks later. âºÂ Perceptual processing during the stories also predicted intrusive memories. ⺠The results support the role of perceptual triggers of unwanted trauma memories.
