Abstract
⺠We investigated associative learning in patients with flying phobia and healthy controls. ⺠We showed picture-picture pairings of novel objects with frightening or pleasant stimuli. ⺠After conditioning flying phobics showed more fear to the novel objects compared to healthy controls. ⺠Stronger conditioning might contribute to the etiology of flying phobia.
