Abstract
⺠Beliefs characteristic of social anxiety uniquely predict certain avoidance types. ⺠Predictive ability of beliefs applies at all levels of social anxiety. ⺠Findings suggest that the beliefs are distinct in nature. ⺠Findings highlight the importance of linking components in models of social phobia.
