Abstract
⺠We develop an event-specific memory training for schizophrenic patients. ⺠We examine changes in autobiographical memory, self-consciousness and depression. ⺠Training improves conscious retrieval and specificity of autobiographical memory. ⺠Training reduces depressive symptomatology. ⺠Cognitive intervention in schizophrenia should include specific past memory training.
