Abstract
⺠We manipulated prospective memory confidence and measured doubt and urges to check. ⺠Participants whose prospective memory confidence was diminished reported more doubt. ⺠Participants with diminished prospective memory confidence had greater urges to check. ⺠Results show diminished confidence in prospective memory increases doubt and checking.
