Abstract
⺠Patients with somatoform disorders have an implicit illness-related self-concept. ⺠This implicit illness-related self-concept is associated with bodily weakness. ⺠The illness-related self-concept is related to severity of somatization. ⺠Clinical control groups are needed to establish discriminant validity.
