Abstract
⺠The proportion fixated angry faces was the best predictor of subsequent explicit ratings independent of degree of social anxiety. ⺠Socially Anxious individuals (SAs) looked away faster when the first fixated face was angry. ⺠SAs fixated a higher proportion of angry faces than Non-anxious (NACs) did. ⺠But: SAs and NACs did not differ in their explicit ratings of the facial crowds.
