Abstract
⺠We discuss the role of the interhemispheric fibers in speech processing. ⺠Recent fMRI and DTI revealed interindividual differences of interhemispheric fibers between the auditory cortices. ⺠Shape, amount and size correlate with speech-functions and speech-related symptoms. ⺠This indicates a specific structure-function relationship. ⺠Recent fMRI and DTI findings were summarized.
