Abstract
⺠Criticized are some of the core assumptions of the model. ⺠A brainstem dysfunction in the termination problems in OCD is denied. ⺠The idea of scarcity of clues to potential danger is partly preserved. ⺠Its role in the termination problems should be seen as more indirect. ⺠An alternative model along these lines is elaborated.
