Abstract
⺠We examined the evidence for an integrative cognitive model of checking compulsions. ⺠Doubt was found to mediate the relationship between prospective memory and checking. ⺠Diminished memory confidence interacts with dysfunctional beliefs to predict checking. ⺠Doubt interacts with dysfunctional beliefs to predict checking.
