Abstract
► Infants' attentional preference for differently aged models was investigated. ► Twelve-month-olds have an attentional preference for actions of older children. ► This preference was found in looking time, mean heart rate, and parental report. ► This preference cannot be explained by the models' facial characteristics or amount of movement.
