Abstract
► We studied timing precision when batting a ball and when tapping in synchrony with two fingers. ► We demonstrated that moving faster improves timing. ► Part of timing variability arises from misjudging the distance in the direction of one's own movement. ► A standard deviation in timing of just over 6 ms can be achieved in both tasks.
