Abstract
► We investigated the effect of active movements on haptic temporal perception. ► Performance was determined using intermodal and intramodal stimuli. ► Discrimination thresholds were much larger for intermodal than intramodal stimuli. ► Passive movements affect temporal alignment of intermodal stimuli. ► Active movements improve discrimination for intramodal but not intermodal stimuli.
