Abstract
⺠What mechanisms of cognitive control are important for weight management? ⺠Children with obesity and “healthy-weight” controls performed a cognitive task. ⺠Error-related neural activity was recorded via event-related potentials. ⺠Obesity predicted reduced error-related negativity, linked with response monitoring. ⺠Reduced response monitoring may be linked with obesity, affecting weight management.
