Abstract
► We examined brain responses to distracting alcohol cues during an attention task. ► We observe cue-related activation differences between phases of alcohol dependence. ► Alcoholic recovery is associated with more cognitive control and less limbic response. ► Observed differences suggest recovery-associated changes in alcohol cue reactivity.
