Abstract
⺠Successful conditioning is necessary but not sufficient for reducing context fear. ⺠Failure to condition is related to low attentional control. ⺠Poor regulation of fear after cue is learned is associated with high trait anxiety. ⺠These mechanisms model deficits in regulating context fear in anxiety disorders.
