Abstract
⺠Disgusting odors elicited larger withdrawal motivation than disgusting pictures. ⺠The speed of emotion regulation towards odors was decreased. ⺠Olfaction may have a unique role in emotion perception. ⺠The efficacy of cognitive emotion regulation for odors may be limited.
