Abstract
⺠We examine indices of emotion and attention prompted by affective faces and scenes. ⺠We compare responses between groups reporting either high or low social anxiety. ⺠Overall, pictures of facial expressions do not strongly engage affective reactions. ⺠There is modest evidence of affective reactions to faces in high social anxiety.
