Abstract
⺠There are ethnic differences in sleep architecture. ⺠African Americans sleep more time in light and less deep sleep than Caucasian Americans. ⺠Perceived discrimination was a partial mediator of ethnic differences in sleep architecture. ⺠Increased discrimination was associated with more time in light and less time in deep sleep.
