Abstract
⺠We found that humans do not correctly detect others' gaze direction toward own face. ⺠The pupillary dilation is caused not when actual gaze congruency is established. ⺠However the dilation is caused when a consciousness for others' gaze is activated. ⺠An eye contact often involves one-way communication.
