Abstract
⺠Unknown Chinese words are associated with monetary gain, loss, or neither. ⺠Learned words are discriminated from new words and ERPs are recorded. ⺠Gain-associated words elicited a relative positivity starting at 130 ms. ⺠Very early emotion effects for words may be due to learned associations.
