Abstract
⺠We investigate effects of cognitive effort expenditure on intermittent maximum voluntary contraction force production. ⺠Maximal handgrip force production decreased linearly over 22-min of cognitive performance. ⺠We conclude that expenditure of cognitive effort imparts negative effects on muscle force production.
