Abstract
⺠Rare changes in sound location modulate the auditory responses at 20 ms after onset. ⺠The activity increase originates dominantly from the contralateral auditory cortex. ⺠At a latency of 160-190 ms, location changes elicit additionally a mismatch negativity. ⺠Change detection is an early-initiating pervasive property of the auditory system.
