Abstract
ⶠSleep supports the conversion of implicitly learnt information into explicit knowledge. ⶠDoes awareness that hidden structures exist in the learnt information speed this conversion? ⶠOur results show that both sleep and awareness increase the generation of explicit knowledge. ⶠBut, awareness enhances generation of explicit knowledge independently of sleep or wakefulness.
