Abstract
ⶠEmotional modulation of the amygdala decreases with repeated picture presentation. ⶠEmotional modulation of the inferior temporal cortex (ITC) hardly habituates. ⶠAmygdala and ITC are correlated only during viewing novel emotional stimuli. ⶠThe amygdala seems to trigger increased ITC activation to novel emotional stimuli.
