ⶠDepressive individuals exhibit larger interference effects at the N450 than do healthy controls during Stroop performance. ⶠDepressive individuals exhibit larger P300s than do healthy controls during Stroop performance. ⶠN450 effects are related to trait rumination in the depressive group. ⶠGroups exhibit equivalent behavioral performance. The ERP results are interpreted within the framework of a “cognitive inefficiency” model.
