Abstract
- Sixteen healthy adults quadrisected and bisected vertical lines.
- Participants demonstrated an upward bias on both allocentric line transection tasks.
- The allocentric demands of this task are mediated by the ventral stream.
- The upward bias was greater for line quadrisections than for bisections.
- During quadrisection, focal attention may have further activated the ventral stream.
