Abstract
⺠We study auditory and audiovisual speech perception with active ERP oddball tasks. ⺠Results discuss pre-conscious and attention-related processes. ⺠The phonetic distance between syllables modulates the P3 amplitude. ⺠McGurk stimuli elicit a neural response to the integration difficulty. ⺠The brain responses reflect the advantage of audiovisual over auditory information.
