Abstract
► We examined the effect of orthographic transparency on fusiform laterality. ► Orthographic transparency was manipulated using artificial language training. ► Both alphabetic and logographic training enhanced the left fusiform's activities. ► Orthographic transparency affected posterior, but not anterior, fusiform laterality.
