Abstract
⺠We examine the prevalence and nature of event clusters in prospective thoughts. ⺠Imagined future events are frequently embedded in broader event sequences. ⺠Personal goals play an important role in structuring these event sequences. ⺠These findings show that prospection relies on multiple representational systems.
