Abstract
⺠Compared the inhibition and monitoring accounts for bilingual cognitive advantages. ⺠Increased bilingual inhibitory control leads to larger lag-2 task repetition costs. ⺠No group differences in adjusting to changing task demands in a fadeout block. ⺠Variability in paradigms and participant characteristics contribute to extant findings.
