Abstract
⺠Expectations of how uninvolved third-parties would react to an event was measured. ⺠Preschoolers and adults expected anger, but not dizziness, to extend across friends. ⺠Adults' expectations of uninvolved friends were more subtle than preschoolers'. ⺠Relationship information changes expected reactions in a selective way.
