Abstract
► We examined the time course of argument (re)activation in intransitive verbs. ► The visual world paradigm provided a continuous record of argument activation. ► Unaccusatives and agentives reactivate their argument, with a different timing. ► Reactivation is early in agentives, but late in unaccusatives. ► Timing of reactivation depends on the argument's syntactic status.
