Abstract
⺠We investigated how body-scan meditation practice affects somatic signal detection. ⺠Meditation increased sensitivity on the somatic signal detection task (SSDT). ⺠Meditation reduced false alarms (incorrect touch reports) on the SSDT. ⺠Meditation improves the accuracy of somatosensory perceptual decision making. ⺠Meditation could potentially benefit patients with medically unexplained symptoms.
