Abstract
⺠Visual attention mediates the perception of control. ⺠Participants steered an object and discriminated the color of an unrelated flash. ⺠More perceived control was reported when the flash appeared where the object was headed. ⺠If an object goes where we are attending, we feel like we made it go there.
