Abstract
⺠'Self-generated fluency' influences preference formation. ⺠Preference does not influence the speed at which we process stimuli. ⺠The effect is generalisable across two very different sets of stimuli. ⺠This 'Self-generated fluency effect' may provide a new method of investigating personal taste.
