Abstract
► We explored how responses to objects and sensitivity to dangerousness develop. ► We investigated how motor resonance develops with a visuomotor priming paradigm. ► Both children and adults discriminated between neutral vs. dangerous objects. ► Both children and adults discriminated between biological vs. non-biological hands. ► Resonant mechanisms related to the hand-prime gender emerged only in adults.
