Abstract
► The perceived loudness intensity for self- and other-generated sounds was compared. ► The extent of anticipation of other's sound-generating actions was varied. ► Loudness perception was attenuated for self- compared to other-generated sounds. ► No influence of the extent of anticipation of other's actions was found. ► Sensory attenuation appears to be specifically tied to self-generation.
