Abstract
⺠The perceived loudness intensity for self- and other-generated sounds was compared. ⺠The extent of anticipation of other's sound-generating actions was varied. ⺠Loudness perception was attenuated for self- compared to other-generated sounds. ⺠No influence of the extent of anticipation of other's actions was found. ⺠Sensory attenuation appears to be specifically tied to self-generation.
